With a Pencil in My Pocket is a social artwork. 150 people are sharing six subscriptions to "500 Colored Pencils" - each receiving one pencil per month for 20 months. Every month each of us seeks out a manifestation of our pencil’s color name – a place, person, thing, creature, activity – that somehow embodies the essence of the color. These experiences are documented by writing a short story or vignette with that month's pencil in our project journals.
I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo, I'm wearing blue! Thanks for the video introduction, Lea. I'm thinking of the song "Blue" by The Jayhawks right now, after watching your intro. And I just discovered something new, through Google, to find a link to share this song, too. Here it is, a beautiful song, Blue:

ReplyDeleteOh, goody, goody ... The pencil came today! I don't think I'm going to get any "real" work done, until I play with my pencil ... shhh, don't tell!
ReplyDeleteMy first pencil arrived! And I'm far from blue about it...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lea!
